3rd Mainland Bridge Accident Leaves 5 People Dead by LifeDrama: 1:54pm On Aug 15, 2016
5 people were confirmed dead after a terrible autocrash occurred at the 3rd Mainlnd Bridge on Sunday evening. Tha crash occured around 6.10pm 3rd Mainland Bridge inward Iyana-Oworoshoki by UNILAG waterfront.

The accident involved a LAGBUS luxury bus, a Hilux truck belonging to a local vigilance group and a Rover jeep, General Manager Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEPA, Michael Akindele confirmed.

“Five persons comprising: three female adults and two children died in the accident.



“Their bodies had been had been deposited at the Lagos Mainland Hospital mortuary by the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU).

“Five others who sustained injuries had been transported by LASAMBUS to another general hospital’s trauma centre.

“Security and others agencies on ground to ensure free flow of traffic after the accident included : LASTMA, FRSC, Nigerian Police and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS),” he said

He advised Lagosians to reduce the speed at which they drive to avoid such accident
