A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has re-affirmed the sack of former Borno State governor, Ali Modu Sheriff as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Justice Nwamaka Ogbonnaya, who presided over the court reaffirmed the sack on the ground that the judgment of Justice Valentine Ashi, which nullified his appointment on June 29 has not been set aside or vacated and is therefore subsisting. The court hence helds that all actions taken by Modu-Sherif are null, void and of no effect since the earlier order of Justice Ashi remains binding. I was so surprised to hear from an elderly man from Oron extract, Mbo local government area of Akwa Ibom to be precise that, Okon Abang younger brother Etim Abang is the leader of APC in Oron nation. I then believed all the allegations that Sheriff is being used by APC to destroy the remnants of PDP. I personally blame Fayose and Wike for this mess. 5 Likes |
