Just days before the start of the new La Liga season, Cristiano Ronaldo has shown he's already up to speed by showing off his new £1.7million black Bugatti Veyron. Portugal captain Ronaldo, 31, splashed out on the supercar following his team's success at Euro 2016 earlier this summer and gave his social media followers a glimpse of his vehicle with a video posted on Instagram.
With a number of cars to his name already, the Bugatti is Ronaldo's new prized possession. The 16.4 Grand Sport version, which is in the top range of the supercars made by Bugatti, goes from 0-to-62 mph in just 2.6 seconds. Ronaldo captioned his video of him driving the car at his house on the outskirts of Madrid: 'Coming back home.

Ronaldo is the owner of one of only 450 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport's, with the car boasting a top speed of 255-mph and an outer skin completely made of carbon fibre. It is the fastest legal road car available on the market.

The former Manchester United man, who also counts a Rolls Royce and a Lamborghini Aventador among his car collection, joins a host of past and present sports stars by purchasing a Bugatti.
Previous men to own the vehicle include retired undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather and former Real Madrid and Brazil legend Roberto Carlos.
Ronaldo was a central figure as his country sealed their first ever major title in France this summer and returned to training with Madrid last week following a long holiday in Ibiza.

Ronaldo didn't feature for Madrid in pre-season, but Wales star Bale returned for the first time since Euro 2016 in his club's eight-goal thriller with French side Stade de Reims earlier this week.
Bale and Toni Kroos featured in the 5-3 win and with Ronaldo still to come back into the side, Zidane has plenty of attacking options at his disposal.
The French boss has already led Real to silverware this season, their 3-2 win over fellow Spanish side Sevilla landing them the European Super Cup in Norway earlier this month
