Audi has unveiled the Q4 e-tron crossover and its coupe version with the Sportback prefix

The German company has unveiled the most compact (to date) crossover in its electric lineup. It is based on the Volkswagen platform MEB, on which the Volkswagen ID.4 is based.

The harbinger of the “usual” crossover Q4 e-tron – the concept of the same name – was shown in Audi in the spring of 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. A pre-production show car with a coupe-like body and the traditional Sportback prefix to the name was presented in the summer of 2020. Now the German company has declassified both product novelties and told in detail about their “stuffing”.

Budget three-row crossover: Honda revealed the BR-V

So far, the novelty has debuted in the status of a concept, the serial version of the budget SUV is expected towards the end of the year.

Honda unveiled the current three-row BR-V crossover in 2016. This car is based on the Mobilio van – a seven-seater MPV, which has been in the brand’s lineup since 2014 (in 2017, it underwent restyling). The model belongs to the budget segment. According to a report from the local Honda division, last year BR-V sales fell by 63% (only 2,289 units were sold). Such a noticeable decline cannot be explained only by the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, it is probably also that customers are waiting for a successor to the model.

Now officially: Toyota Venza returns as Harrier

So far, the SUV with a revived name has been announced only in the form of a hybrid, although its clone in Japan has a “traditional” version. The novelty will enter the market this summer.

A model called Venza was produced at the Toyota plant located in the USA from 2008 to 2017. But the “five-door” version, which was a cross between a station wagon and a crossover, was not particularly successful. Nevertheless, last fall on the Web there was information that Venza will return to the gamut of the brand, and today it has officially announced a comeback. True, so far the model has been announced only for the American market: under this name they will sell a local version of the fourth-generation Harrier SUV.

The new Harrier was shown in Japan a month ago. The five-seater crossover is built on the GA-K platform, created as part of the TNGA architecture (Toyota New Global Architecture), the same “cart” underlies the current Toyota RAV4. The company did not disclose the dimensions of the American Venza, however, it is unlikely that the cross in size is very different from the “4-th” Toyota Harrier. The length of the latter is 4740 mm, width – 1855 mm, height – 1660 mm, wheelbase – 2690 mm (like the RAV4). If we compare it with the previous Venza, then it is larger in all respects, except for the height: 4800/1905/1610 mm, the distance between the axles is 2775 mm.

New Hyundai Tucson: Two Lengths And Several Hybrids (There Are Also “Simple” Versions)

The Korean brand has officially presented the fourth generation Tucsan. The cross has been radically transformed inside and out, and also acquired new equipment. The palette of body colors has also been expanded, plus a two-tone paint is provided for the model.

Genesis Premiere: a station wagon or a new SUV was expected, but a large coupe was shown

Genesis became a “premium” in 2015, today it is presented in its native Korea, USA, Australia and others. At the dawn of a career, only sedans were sold under this brand – the G70, G80 and G90. Since then, all “four-doors” have noticeably changed, and in 2020 two crossovers appeared in the range at once – GV80 and GV70. Updating and expanding the lineup helped Genesis noticeably increase sales: for example, 108,286 cars were sold at home in 2020, which is almost twice as much as a year earlier.

The result of the brand in January-February 2021 on the Korean market was 18,818 units, which is already three times more compared to the same period in 2020. The premium brand, of course, is not going to stop there – new models are coming, in addition, Genesis is about to start in Europe.

The Hyundai Santa Fe will open and start with a fingerprint reader
