NATION.

BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 40
MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 40:31
“But those who trust in the LORD will renew their
strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not
faint”
Our Bible reading for today clearly illustrates how
words of comfort is being sent to God’s people and
as it is, there are great numbers of hidden hurting
hearts waiting to hear them. God realizes how important these powerful words be said to give
aching hearts renewed strength and hope at Christ’s
coming. He clearly seeks man’s salvation from the
servitude of sin by offering His One and Only Son as a
sacrifice for our transgressions.
God’s words are true and faithful because the One who speaks dwells richly in faithfulness. The
Scriptures clearly explain that heaven and earth will
fade away but His words will remain forever (Isaiah
65:17; Isaiah 40:cool. His words of comfort are directed
to His chosen race; to those whom He has called out of
darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). His words of comfort foretell the birth of the Prince of
Peace whom through the Atonement of His Blood is
iniquity pardoned (Isaiah 40:3-5). In Christ, we are
redeemed from our past sins because we have
passed from death to life. Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, old things have passed away and new things have come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Christ’s love offers us comfort and strength in times
of trouble (Psalm 46:1; Isaiah 40:11; 1 Corinthians
1:30). His assurances of divine help during trials is true
because He is from God (John 10:15). He craves from
us godliness and faithfulness to God alone because in so doing, we are demonstrating God’s non-equality
with other gods (Isaiah 40:12-26). Sadly, it’s a pity
that most believers today usually end up at the place
of disobedience and as a result of their actions - in
word and deed – displease God.
Friend, after realizing how true and just God’s words are; what plans are we making for Christ’s second
coming? We must always remember that the Day of
the Lord will come like a thief in the night and many
will be found wanting in that place of glory because
they refused to let go of the desires of the flesh. Are
you still living in the flesh? Do you still find it hard to flee from all worldly things even after your confession
of Christ? Always note that you are living because you
still have the grace, you are still given a second
chance; the moment death comes in, YOUR CHAPTER IS
CLOSED; you face the panel. Subsequently, carefully
guard your hearts with His words and make every effort to be found in peace without spot or blemish
before Him (2 Peter 3:14). Be on guard so that you are
not led away by the error of the immoral to worship
other gods which were handcrafted by skilled
craftsmen, rather, in its place, trust in the Lord with all
your heart and He will renew your strength; you will soar on wings like eagles; you will run and not grow
weary, and you will walk and not faint. Hallelujah!!!
Praise God.
