Hostilities commenced in the toughly contested Ikorodu Divisional League following the kick-off of the 2016 edition of the annual event few days ago.

The local league which is limited to 12 teams is played on home and away basis at different playing grounds in the community.

Participating teams in the league are; Ultimate Villa Football Club, Balina Global FC, Kadesh FC, Olodo FC, Kareem Football Club, Ayomiposi Soccer Academy and Perfect Touch FC. The others are Sharon Football Club, Vibrant Stars FC, Great Stars FC, E-Four Football Club and Macbeth FC.

Interestingly, the defending champions, Destiny Boys FC will not be participating in this year’s edition due to commitments in the Nigerian Nationwide League. However followers of the league believe the fans will still be have the chance to see other formidable teams with very talented players.
