Linda Ikeji as we all know is a successful blogger and is also an house hold name when it comes to blogging. Ask an average blogger why he/she went into blogging, they can hardly give you a concrete reason why they are into it. Most people (bloggers) just want to blog because that's like the order of the day or probably a friend told them to; which at the end they will just become tired and opt out of blogging.
To become a successful blogger just like sister Linda, there are some things that one ought to know about her which contributed greatly to her (blogging) Success.

1) HER EARLY BEGINNING : I will call this a perfect timing. She started at the early hours of blogging ( when blogging wasn't that known), she came into blogging 2006, this was the period when entertainment was just advancing to another level in Nigeria. At this period, there were no serious online entertainment blogs or competition, about a few such as BELLANAIJA and others. Starting her blog at that point in time meant she was in the market at the right time. Just as the entertainment industry began to grow, it was natural that Linda and other early bloggers had to grow along with the rising trend of the industry. This gave 'sister Linda' an edge over other new bloggers.

2) CONSISTENCY : This is a word that entails something being done continuously over a period of time. Despite the fact that Linda Ikeji came into blogging since 2006, she has never for once relented or stopped blogging even during the most difficult times in her life. When it comes to blogging, it is one thing to start a blog and it's another thing to keep updating it both day(s) and night(s) all year long, but she was able to do just both with the right motivation and equipment. As a young blogger, I have learnt alot from her and putting what she is doing into practice which's really helping.

3) THE RIGHT MOTIVATION : Just like I earlier said in the intro of this article, some bloggers are just into blogging business 'cause someone ( friends, family, enemies ) must have told them to go into it or some just went into it because of the sole reason of making quick money.
MY OPINION: YOU ARE LIKELY TO GIVE UP BEFORE YOU GET THERE...
Something different has to be the motivation for your blogging. In Sister Linda's case, she was motivated by the desire to establish a community, i.e. having a platform where people could read something interesting and make their comments known to the world. That was her sole motivation, which catapulted her to become the success story we are identifying with today. I want to be so sure that she had no idea to how successful she will be 10 years after.

4) FINDING THE RIGHT NICHE : This is somehow related to the 3rd point; though specific. Finding the right niche as a blogger will really help you last long as a blogger. As for Linda, she found her niche in entertainment news, "amebo" and its relatives. I could remember then when she started posting cool stories about celebrities which where recent and up-to-date thereby making people updated about what's going on in the entertainment sector. This in turn made people to consistently wanting to know what's on in that sector. When you find the right niche for your blog, you hardly get discouraged, because this is something you love doing and you do with ease. There are several niche such as ; MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT, FASHION, SPORT, JOB, ETC. So just find what interest you the most and venture into doing it.

5) GETTING THE RIGHT SOURCE : This is the part that basically keeps Linda Ikeji's blog ahead when it comes to blogging. She has trusted sources that are well updated in terms of entertainment news in and out of Nigeria. That is why most readers love her blog alot; she's current. When fresh entertainment gist is out, trust Linda's blog to be part of the top three sites to get the news known to the world, this tells alot about her source of information. Not like most of our newbies blogger that just copy and paste from any how source. Get a well trusted source and voilà ! you are good to go.
