The Ali Modu Sherrif-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo state has postponed its primary election to next week Tuesday. The faction had earlier picked tomorrow, August 22nd, 2016 as the date of its primaries.
In a text message sent to SUNSHINE HERALD, the Chairman, Prince Biyi Poroye said the postponement was for the good of the party.
“Our primary election is now next week Tuesday, I and my excos regret the inconveniences with the shift in the date. But it is for the benefit and smooth-running of the party.”, he said.
Poroye appealed to all delegates to remain calm and urged them keep to the new date.
