Nigeria At 49, Lets Keep Hope Alive. Say Something Positive by wills(m): 7:18pm On Sep 30, 2009
Quoting Rev Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr, I will say to every Nigerian lets “keep Hope alive”.

Lets PRAY!, that as we mark another year of Independence that Nigeria will really change for the better, and that by both divine grace and human efforts, we will support to usher in more focused people, coupled with the requisite knowhow in resource management and nation building, having a burning passion for a better and sustainable future for Nigerians.

Let eagerly and consciously await and fight for the replacement/refusal of any so called leader(s) who think leadership in Nigeria should be all about sharing the money, and looting the treasury, without fear.

We have come this far under very hard and most times unfortunate governance. However, Leadership and followership, we all need to change, no matter how little let’s make a positive change.

God Bless Nigeria.

MrCrackless, I presume you have someplace else to call home? however if you are a Nigerian weather living here or not, then let me share this with you. Like it or not I know am not on my own.

Visit a war torn or ravaged country, then you will appreciate the fact that Nigeria must be salvaged.

49 + Yar Adua = 419
Re: Nigeria At 49, Lets Keep Hope Alive. Say Something Positive by Nobody: 10:08pm On Sep 30, 2009
Beaf:

49 + Yar Adua = 419

That was a very thoughtful equation because Yar'adua is the number "1" citizen of Nigeria. He makes up the 1 lacking in 49 to give 419.

On a more serious note, I think we should be campaigning for INDEPENDENCE tomorrow rather than celebrating an unexistent one.

Nigerian don't want Nigeria to change, I won't be suprises if Yaradull dose'nt adress the nation, there's just nothing good to report.

He's a failure not because I set some unattainable benchmark, he's a failure because he has constantly failed at comming good on HIS own words.

, its a pity that u see ur fathers' land this way and its even worse that u all sound so despair about it. shame on you if you personally are not doing anything about it but condeming, shame on u if u are also contributing to the decadence this nation is facing by your actions at home or work no matter how small or irrelevant u think it is. shame on u if u dont believe we can or rather we will make it grow as it should be. SHAME on u.

i believe in this Nation, I acknowledge the fact that things are not going the right direction, infact things are bad, but i also believe with hard work and sincerity of purpose from us individually and collectivelly then we will make it right. I mean Actions not just words. This is just the begining.

It’s really hard and tough to believe in Nigeria, let alone say something positive about Nigeria. I must say I do understand with everyone who thinks Nigeria is not worth expending the energy to salvage it from further ruin.
But let’s think hard, Nigeria is not just one man, Nigeria is me, you, yaradua and it even goes further beyond us to the ones not born yet. If you chose to give up or dont want to concern yourself about Nigeria, Fine!, Let’s not fuss about it.

For anyone who believes he/ she can make a change for a better Nigeria, I enjoin you to hold on to the believe and act on it.

Nuff said! smiley

I don't blame all those faithless folks who have nothing good to say about their homeland.
When I say stand by "Nigeria", I'm not talking about the national entity or the geographic location itself.
I'm referring to the everyday people of Nigeria:
The lowly-paid teacher trying to give her students a decent education;
the honest street hawker hustling for his daily bread;
the industrious entrepeneur fighting to keep his business afloat even in the unfriendly financial climate-
and even the hardworking professional who would rather use his skills to improve his homecountry than sell himself in some foreign land---
These are my "Nigeria" and I'll never turn my back on them.
Most people that hate on Nigeria have dual nationalities/domiciles. But the average Nigerian has nowhere else to go.

And you ask if I'm for real? You're damn straight I am. More to the point: are YOU??
