I have started wondering the cause of the sudden crash in the prices of Data nowadays. Prices of Data that use to be very high across network is now affordable. I remember that 1Gig data use to cost like 3000 naira now it is 1k for 2Gig and on a network on another you can get 3Gig for 1k. One was even telling me that I have a bonus of 1.5Gig that will become 3Gig if if I load 1k and send a message to 106 bla bla.
I asked myself, and I figure it out that the introduction of freebasics.com by airtel that allow you to visit website like nairaland, facebook, BBC, Bing, etc free of charge is a knock on the price war. I just hope the trend continue. Or do yo u have other reason for this crash in prices please share your thought.
