After Jesus finished telling the people about the end time. He went further to say everything would happen in their GENERATION. Unfortunately that generation has past long ago but the world did not end.

Matthew, 24:34- Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Same in Mark, 13:30

As for the argument of war here and there, there have always been war in this world. The bible has record of several war by the children of Israel. Furnication, evil, volcanos, earthquake etc have all been happening in this world even before Jesus was born, they are not new.

The argument now is what did Jesus mean by the phrase " this generation"

A generation is the average amount of time needed for children to grow up and have children of their own.
A generation cannot be more than 200years except during the olding days of Adam and Eve, Methuselah etc.
Jesus was only speaking in parable.

So please stop living in fear that this world will end suddenly.
