Is Craybid.com Telling Me I Can Get A Samsung For Less Than #2000 Naira?? by otumopkor(m): 10:45pm On Aug 27, 2016
Nairalanders!!!

So i got a call from my brother in law from Kano telling me to checkout this Craybid site today. He said he won a Samsung phone and he wants to send it down to Otigba (Computer village, ikeja) so i can sell it for him. The amazing thing is that the total money he paid was #1,815 plus #2000 shipping fee for the phone.

He then told me he bought coins or something like that, on the site, he then insured it so that he wont loose all the coins at a go and then started bidding on the phone. He even said apart from the insurance which is free he got half the money he spent back and he plans on making purchases with it just that the money he has there is too small for the amount of products they auction.

Now my question is:
1. How is this craybid.com making money at all with all this freebies they give
2. What is really their strategy at selling brand new items at such prices
3. Why would they give money back to customers and then insurance really
4. Are they selling users contact information instead to make money?
5. Are they foreign guys here in naij fighting for market share and loosing money at the same time just like UBER.

Its all too complicated and i really need to know because i cannot lie i am hooked on these guys just waiting for their next auction (Otigba loading). LOL

Thanks guys

I have not won yet unfortunately. I guess its pure luck my dear. But i only started last sunday who knows what will happen before the end of the week. I will surely buy with my earned discount from them if i eventually dont win anything the economy is too hard to waste money abeg.

CRAYBID.COM IS A SCAM!!!

So I stayed up all night and bought credits worth over N100,000 while bidding on the BlackBerry priv just to realise that each time I bid, a random (obviously fictitious user) would top my bid and eventually won.

This has happened more than 3 times but I decided to monitor this particular auction.

The system has been rigged and configured to always use fake user accounts to outbid users

I got dragged into this mess, don't fall prey!

I think a good question is do you get debited for each bid or only when you win?
