Nigeria as a nation is passing through a veru critical
time in its history, and President Muhammadu Buhari
sits in the eye of the storm.

speaks better of the situation in Nigeria, and the
dilemma which the Buhari-led government has found

1. “If the bill is passed as proposed, the president will
gradually transform himself into a dictator.”

Some senators asserting that some of the provisions in
a new bill proposed by President Buhari were
unnecessary and it as nothing more than a subtle way
of avoiding counterpart funding by the present
administration.

The Adaka Boro Avengers (ADA) lashing out at the Niger Delta Avengers for announcing a ceasefire and has promised to declare a Niger Delta Republic on October 1.

Former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar says he
has no knowledge about the problem the former largest
party in Africa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is
facing .

6. “We have resolved to reject any idea of the peace of ourtimes; we want the peace with honor this time around!” Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) declaring a ceasefire while indicating its readiness for negotiation with the federal government.

The group accused of attacking oil installations in the
Niger Delta region of the country, said in a statement it
trusts the outcome of a negotiation team being planned
by Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, and other elders of the
region .

7. “APC dangerously obsessed with the frivolity of
bamboozling Nigerians with high-sounding figures only for entertainment purposes.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) firing another shot
at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) saying the
latter was not helping the country with its style of
government.

8. “The incompetence of the ruling class has compounded the crisis of nation building.”

Some Nigerian lawyers warning President Muhammadu
Buhari about the reported plan to probe his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan over the latter’s alleged sponsorship of the Niger Delta Avengers.

9. “playing politics with the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls was unhelpful and embarrassing to the government and counterproductive to the silent efforts of the military to rescue them.”

The Buhari Media Support Group sending a message to
parents of abducted Chibok girls and
#BringBackOurGirls group not to protest as planned.
Following the release of a video by Boko Haram calling
for the release of their soldiers in exchange for the
abducted girls, the group announced its plan to protest
to the presidential villa .

10. ” I received news of the mob killings in Zamfara with
great dismay. It is barbaric & unacceptable. I assure that the law will take its course.”

President Muhammadu Buhari on August 23, Tuesday,
reacted to the killing of eight people in Zamfara state
after a religious crisis that broke out at the Abdu Gusau
Polytechnic in state.

11. “There are no indices anywhere by which the
Muhammadu Buhari administration can be assessed as
better than ours.”

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that
the current administration of President Muhammadu
Buhari is not in any way better than that of past
administrations of under its watch .

Borno state, Hon Kaka Shehu Lawan has accused
former governor of the state, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff of
being responsible for the growth Boko Haram . Lawan
also said that Sheriff should be arrested and
prosecuted.

13. “Nigerians voted overwhelmingly for the president and we are all witnesses to that fact. No single person or group can claim that glory.”

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has denied media
reports claiming he and a few Nigerians brought
President Muhammadu Buhari to power. According to
him, no individual or group including himself can lay
claim to bringing to power.

14. “There is nothing we are facing today that we did not
know would happen. We made mistakes, many of them
deliberate. We ignored every single warning.”

Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi II, warning President
Muhammadu Buhari that his administration may end
like the Jonathan administration if it fails to retrace its
