I'm starting a farm in the middle of two undeveloped plots. Rats are many there then I wonder how to prevent them from wreaking havoc on the farm produce.

Experienced farmers your opinions are needed.

@Op:

What do you want to farm?
Crop or livestock?

Can you show pictures of your plot?

Give details of the environment.

God bless your work.

Sincerely,

As I said earlier, the farm is situated in between two other undeveloped plots and there are rats in those surrounding bushes. I am planting corn and water melon on the farmland. So what is the way out?

1) Ask friends to store up urine for you get some bowl or plate dig holes at different places on the land in a way that the tip of your bowl is same level as your natural ground and pour you toxic solution (add poison) into it. They love the smell and the taste. You can allow d urine to ferment for some days. (Suggested by a fellow farmer). Apply caution and discretion too
2) Set traps, at various locations. Enough bushmeat guaranteed.
*NB: Don't combine with number 1 if u have interest in consuming the bushmeat
3) Use Scarecrows, The human from. Or u can get old video cassette tapes too, loose n tie to sticks around ur farm, when breeze blow it will make noise that will scare them
