Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat(popularly known as Femi Hamzat) is the Commissioner for Ministry of Works and infrastructure in Lagos State,Nigeria. He was appointed as the Commissioner for Ministry of Science & Technology, Lagos State in August 2005. He held that position until June 2011. Thereafter, he was reappointed Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola’s administration on July 4, 2011.

There were three candidates for the post of Governor in the APC. Hamzat, Ambode and Gbajabiamila.

The problem was that the opposition started raising issues of religion as Tinubu and Fashola are both Muslims. So that disqualified the duo of Gbaja and Hamzat leaving Ambo.
