The only reason you are on this thread is because your desire to discredit Kenya is on another level.... You have been here abusing us since day, 1, your intentions obviously is due to extreme jealousy. The author and owner of the thread is a Nigerian, the participants came at their own volition. You can never stop an idea whose time has come, the idea of a Kenyan development is here and not your badmouthing hatefull thoughts can derail it.

There exist articles pointing out their budget to be only 25 billion USD.

9.1 trillion Naira gives you 25b

I can't really trust them! Even a 50 billion USD budget for Nigeria is still low considering how many they are!

Our national budget was $29.8b dollars. State is around $40 - $45b dollars. grin

Corruption is not the problem. The problem is over reliance on natural resources.Your economy will seesaw with commodity markets...LNG prices could bottom out and you can't send your famed Korosho army to collect all the gas off your shores and feed on it
Let not talk about the Dutch disease that will infect your economy.I mean if there is an enduring lesson from this thread it is that one.Nigeria has earned more than 600b dollars from Oil and it shitty. They sell 2m barrels of oil every day and lots of gas...and it's not any better from Niger or Chad.Actually it worse because Chad famed army would kick Boko Haram in a few weeks.. something Nigeria seriously underfunded army cannot do and now Boko Haram could control their entire North East.Sustainable growth from well diversified economic base like we have in Kenya cannot be brought down by anything save for war.You get there by focussing on human as opposed to natural resources.Just sign that LNG thing like it's no biggie and focus on empowering Tanzanian..esp the next generation.improve their nutrition, education and health.
Corruption is not a problem? Really? Are you sane?
FYI,most resource rich nations fail to diversify due to the same corruption which you say is not a problem! Most of these resource rich nation fail to move ahead in human development it is due to corruption. Nothing works efficiently in corrupted nations.
Tz will use the money earned from our resources to give better healthcare for people. We will provide high quality free education,we will build first world infrastructures from those natural resources.
We will sign the LNG as a big thing! Our anti corruption measures will definitely give us a Singapore...weather you like it or not!

Kenya current budget 2018/2019 national budget is 3.1 trillion Kshs which roughly translate to 31B - Counties budget is my estimate (but I can find you data if you insist).
Kenya 2017/2018(last year) - 26B dollars.
Kenya 2016/2017 was 23B dollars.

Nigeria meager yet historic federal budget this yr (2018/2019) is 23B dollars!!!!.

The 36 states have a largely kamikaze budget of 17-18B dollars this year - total Nigeria state+federal budget is therefore around 40B dollars.

Kenya's 2018 budget was never Sh3t Ksh. It was slashed big time to Sh2.5t Ksh. Ok show me Kenya's 2018 budget signed by your law makers. grin

Now, show me the 2018 budgets of your counties. That's if they have one. Bhuhahahaha!

Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Rivers state, Ogun state and Delta state budget alone is $12.7b. How much more other remaining 30 states and FCT

It's way more than that. The road annuity is already on track to deliver 10,000 new paved roads - most of them low seal roads. Kibaki regime had to basically rebuild/maintain the entire road network that had fallen apart during Moi regime.

Wake us up when that happens. Tanzania never really had a corruption problem like we do have in Kenya or Nigeria. I mean Nyerere never stole - he died a pauper. MKapa & Mwinyi were never really corrupt. Maybe there was nascent corruption under Jakaya Kikwete but it's nothing serious. Tanzania has never had problem with it's political stability or governance.

Your problems we have told you is the debilitating legacy of Ujamaa/communism that has bred an environment where personal advancement is frown upon & private wealth is discouraged. That philosophy is still manifested in all levels.

You need to really embrace capitalism. Start with land. Privatize all lands save for land reserved for public goods (road reserves, forests, parks). Improve protection of private property. Allow people to sell land freely. I know you fear Kenyans will come and take over you land - that is just irrational - Uganda has lot of arable - and nobody is taking over.

And then continue with privatization - build a private sector like we've done here and stop meddling in private business. Gov should facilitate private sector and should ensure there is stability in policy - don't wake up like Magufuli with sweeping changes everyday. That scare investors.

Once you've planted the seed of capitalism - Tanzanians will stop being lazy and jealous - and become hardworking & aspirational (greedy for success). US is the capital of capitalism and their work ethic is un-matched - people work 2-3 jobs for long hours - so they can live great lives.Kenyans also wake up early and sleep late because there is no community or gov or village to bail you out - you work or you starve - the more you work the richer you get.

Your other problems we have told you is very bad education where 90% of your kids end up in high school without the ability to write, read or speak English and they are expected to be taught complex stuff in English- the language of instruction. Your language policy has failed but you're stuck right there. You decide to go fully Kiswahili or English. Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Zim, Uganda and name them - had these debates - and all decided English was the way to go. Dump kiswahili in phases and invite English teachers from Africa to come help your kids.

They are the masters of unrealistic budgets!

''He said: “I am just quoting the Senate Leader from his speech, which said the 2018 budget was designed to consolidate on the achievements of the 2016 and 2017 budgets. What was done in 2017 when less than 15 per cent of that budget was released? Nothing was done and that was why I called it (2018 budget proposal) fictitious. I am very sorry if that is the word he is bothered about. I will withdraw the word ‘fictitious’ and use ‘totally imaginary.” According to Abaribe, the receivables (revenue) in the budget were being exaggerated, adding that the revenues were only one-tenth of the figures being claimed by the government. He stated that the budget was being predicated on parameters that have been destroyed by facts available.
Senator Ben Murray Bruce (PDP Bayelsa East) in his own contribution said that the 2018 budget proposal is a “budget of active imagination,” as according to him, the budget is already committing 25 percent to debt servicing.''

Budgetary deficits are always going to be there

Very few countries have a surplus in their budget

But Nigeria's budget projections and estimates are way exaggerated! So it's hard knowing how much they really spend!

Nigeria's budget fluctuates on how much oil will be selling per barrel! The economy is still much dictated by oil!
rvp20183:
Less than 15% of the budget was released. I am shocked.

Music break from their Falz - This is Nigeria.

This is Nigeria
Look how I'm living now
Look how I'm living now
Everybody be criminal
This is Nigeria
Look how we living now
Look what we eating now
Everybody be criminal

Kazikazi:
Don't try to shift things around.Who said we don't appreciate your God given natural assets? Friend, I am against lies! Kenya is beautiful.Yes. And so as other nations. But is not the most beautiful in Africa or in the world. The same God who gave you those assets is the same God who hates lies!
Yes us Magufulis need your prayers,we need prayers to withstand your lies and deceptive habits.
We don't hate you.But we hate your pride,we hate your lies, your 'all must be mine' attitude. We hate your tribalism, your greedy.Tanzanians need prayers.Yes we do.Prayers to help us leave with a headstrong neighbour.,a neighbor who is not ashamed to claim what is not his!

Bla bla

You are jealous because your country has failed in even basic principles. You call us proud forgetting pride is acquired, not dug out from the ground. You have to earn pride. It's impossible for a bongo to fathom the concept of pride, with your 4 plane national carrier and 2 Olympic medals. Jealousy will send you to an early grave.

Achieving Monetary policy objectives is a long shot rout with difficulties and uncertainties due to ever changing macroeconomic dynamics. In recent years, however, majority of central banks have adopted four monetary policy regimes or strategies to enhance their ability in achieving these goals.Describe four Monetary policy regimes clearly showing how they integrate the goals of monetary policy and possible information variable at the disposal of central bank used to monitor and direct changes in monetary policy.

Any economists in this thread to kindly assist me on this.
Thanks.
