Once you get into hyperinflation once - it very difficult to fully recover - Argentina, Zimbabwe, Ghana - will find it hard to recover from that crisis of confidence. Ghanaians just don't trust their CEDIS. They can as well use dollars and forget about internal currency for some time..until the present generations forget about what Cedis did to them previously.
we trust our cedis
and that is why we trade with it

those who dont trust their currency are busy charging dollars for stuffs as low as tissue in Kenya

The double phase must be Ghanian invention. We know about single or 3-phase connections. We also have live line maintenance but how does metering - and making more connections come in?
Just30:
basically with double phase meters

you have real stability in your power supply such that you can make more connections

such that when any of the phase goes down
the other phase takes over.

Bretton wood doesn't have a team of folks collecting data. I have worked with them. They take whatever you tell them as gov of Ghana. If you say you're doing well - they will report that. All IMF & WB ever do is to aggregate data into global reports - get data for Ghana, Kenya and then produce global reports - so never really attribute any data to IMF or WB.

Of course like you've come to discover in those 16 times you've gone bankrupt - data means nothing on the ground - that is why only stupid nations like Ghana lie about their numbers - or allows politicians to lie about ROSY FIGURES.

You're just back to you communist bad manners - your communist friends like USSR/Tanzania/China - use to LIE A LOT IN 60s and 70s on how great communism was leading to AMAZING PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT.

They all fell down about 10-20yrs later.....others like China, North Korea & etc....went into great famines that killed lots of people.

how will Ghana go bankrupt when she is not recycling here debt because she cant afford to pay?

why is China taking your port away?

Even for sex . Tourist pay in dollars to grind.

And yet their purchasing power keeps exposing them that their currency can't be true of its face value .

1) How many schools do you have? Fo example Kenya has about 25,000 primary schools and 10,000 secondary schools - These are just public schools.
2) We have free primary and free secondary education - day schools are completely free - boarding school receives capitation of 100 dollars a term per kid- they only pay for boarding facilities.
3) We have 100% primary to secondary transition.
3) We have highly subsidized university education - gov qualified student whether he is on private or public anything upto 600-1000 dollars per year - they also get 500-600 Higher Education Loans.

In short, there is nothing you can tell us about EDUCATION or HEALTH.

You have 0.4M kids you need to double track in HIGH SCHOOL - IMF has messed your country for many years.

Just30:
we have more than enough schools

but unlike you, we have allowed 400,000 Ghanaian kids whom wouldnt have been in high school either for financial reasons or whatever

to go on government bill.

You should do that for your poor people and see if the industrial output of Kenya wont increase

You defaulted in 2015/2016 and called for IMF help. We are so far from defaulting or from China taking our port.......please again stop talking about DEBT & macro-economics. Focus on your nascent 10yr old NHIS or DOUBLE TRACK - where kids rotate to school.

We already did that. We have completely free public primary schools (8M kids). Completely free day secondary schools (5M kids) & highly subsidized boarding secondary schools. Highly subsidized TIVET admitting 200K students. We have highly subsidized university education with 500K enrollment. Our teachers are better paid...only 2nd to the likes South Africa in SSA. Our lectures and proffesors well paid.

we did not default in 2015

we had an energy crisis such that growth slowed down

we called the IMF because the previous government couldnt take the unslut from the opposition

is that what you want to compare?

when primary to secondary education is basically free in Ghana including free boarding and health care, free feeding . Go collect statistics on the rate of the numbers of student enrolled on this pilot . from basic to secondary school .....

our public university don't even charge school fees , they rather pay academic fees which is highly subsidised ....and there is a student loan fercility to cater for struggling family which is both accessible to private and public university... and national service scheme which automatically employ every graduate regardless of the qualifications even to diploma or teacher training for 11 months .

Your education ministry came of recent to understudy it...

“We have checked with the relevant Chinese financial institution and found that the allegation that Kenyan side used the Mombasa Port as a collateral in its payment agreement with the Chinese financial institution for the Mombasa-Nairobi railway is not true,” Mr Chunying said.
