Reform your corrupt incompetent army n police..deal with welfare, equipment and morale..Reforms are painful..you're not ready because you fear return of military dictatorship. How can you transform your militia of 300k poorly trained, paid n unprofessional forces when you fear them..when they routinely beat you in streets.kdf beating civilian is unheard of in Kenya..ultra discipline, well paid, well kit, life insurance, well educated and well motivated

Total fertility rate below 3 or 2.8.Education & literacy approaching 95..with education quality highest in Africa and decent basic infrastructure. The first will radically transform domestic savings n investments from household upwards. Education is of course greatest denominator n predictor of many things. The last is facilator or enabler.

For your country to take off like those countries you mentioned, you'll need to industrialize, and to do that, you are going to need to spend a lot of money. You're going to need access to cheap energy, raw materials, and a market. right now your government can't even pay salaries.

There's absolutely nothing to learn from a Kenyan. Our military is better than yours and higher ranked than yours. There's nothing to learn from a country that can not pay salaries and is on the verge of defaulting.

industrialization doesnt happens by accident..yes kenya is at most 10yrs from those countries. Ethiopia electricity is 3 cent usd. They will not industrialize soon. Its about many variables and factors eventually coming together..it not easy..many countries would have done it.You need to nail many things unless you're little country. It's like a ship turning...you won't see enormous effort until it finally turn..or aeroplane taking off...engine runs for hours n it's expend lots fuel..it take off....the pilot turn on autopilot. The difficult thing for an economy is take off. Then you effortlessly cruise 40k feet in the sky.Take off is the most difficult...

Turns out Phoenix tower and Phoenix rising Sun are two very similar but separate projects within Eko - Atlantic city.
The buildings are opposite each other. grin
The first project would be 27 floors while the second would be 29.
Here are some clear pics, you can see “Phoenix Tower” site in the background and “Phoenix Rising” in the foreground.
Alongside A&A Tower, Arkland properties is simultaneously developing 3 projects in EAC, a 4th tower is going to be unveiled soon.

A&A Tower fist project at eko Atlantic
Ocean Front | A & A Tower | Mixed-Use | 19F | U/C
Another thing to note is that buildings at 20 to 30 storey height today can be demolished and replaced by 60 to 70 storey ;Dheight structures a few decades down the line as demand grows. Japanese cities like Tokyo and Osaka have been on a building replacement spree demolishing most of the 30 floor office towers built in the 60s and 70s and replacing them with 60 floor towers.

It's safe to say a similar pattern will take place in Eko Atlantic as well as Lagos island, Yaba and Ebute Meta.

Cities with high rise dominated skylines were built over decades. Dubai does not count as that's an outlier fueled by Saudi capital overload.

Ruto administration is introducing reforms that will pay off...he has refused to print money like Nigeria or borrow to fund recurrent expenditure. He has also refused to take in high interest loans. We can print money n pay salaries any day as it just about 50b per month or less than 3 billion per year.Ruto has institute reforms including deep budget cut with intentions of returning kenya macroeconomic to solid state in 18 months. Now only 12 months to go.Ghana biggest problem remains macroeconomic mismanagement despite being functional country compared to Nigeria. Kenya has to avoid Ghana and Zambia curse of circular default otherwise everything else is great. As for Nigeria army...forget stupid ranking..focus on their ability to deal with boko haram, jihadist and cattle rustling.

Of course - Ruto administration is keen to fix macro-economics and we will have fully stable macro-economics in 12 months.

There will be occasional pain - for example we already cut 3billion dollars from current budget - we are also increasing revenue collections - and by next year budget - we will have balanced budget (first time since 2006 or 2010).

We have option to go Ghana or Zambia way - become irresponsible, default , invite IMF.

Or become Nigeria or Zimbwabwe - print money - cause inflation - increase poverty - and become a Zoo.

Or having been irresponsible the last few years - we do what IMF would order us to do anyway - institute painful reforms.

“The previous administration used to borrow money from banks owned by the same leaders to pay salaries,” DP Gachagua attributes gov’t’s cash crunch to shift from using loans to fund recurrent expenditure to relying on revenue collected.

Stop doing side talks with gallipig. These discussions are beyond his 10mb brain.

Nigeria is ahead of Kenya financially. I will keep repeating it until you cave in under the pressure. I know you hate hearing the truth. Kenya not paying salaries and failing to disburse fund to counties is a sign of a deeper illness. These things can not be hidden. Nigeria has never defaulted on debts nor owed federal government workers. That's a little india way.

Kenya has already gone the Zambia Sri Lanka way and defaulted.... Ghana avoided default and printed money

Kenya does not have an independent monetary policy he's cant afford that.
