That is called inflation, nothing to be celebrated in a tiny resource economy like Ghana. Anyways there is nothing to see or do in Ghana for tourism so there is no debate here. Waste of time.

Just shut up if u have nothing to contribute .how come tiny Ghana tourism is still ahead of ur zoo

There's no tourism in Ghana to speak of is my point. I will simplify it further because you seem slow; Tourists won't visit just for the jellof rice.

Tourism is the activities of people traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for leisure, business or other purposes for not more than one consecutive year.

To be ahead of kenya world class tourism sites is to be extra terrestrial. Maybe you're in another planet. People pay a fortune to come to Kenya. It just too expensive...so it for rich...we compete with Tanzania and South Africa.

Only the rich or those who have saved for some years come to enjoy such pristine world class resources.

In tourism you don't compete with Tanzania, it receives over 4m

Kenya along with Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique . Are in the range of 2m.

When did Tanzania overtake Kenya? I only know they claim to earn twice kenya from half Kenya international tourism numbers. Remember Kenya has a very good domestic tourism sector - something South Africa can learn from. During off season - Kenya hotels and parks - offer kenyans discounted deals - and this has sustained our tourist sector during period when Somali terror spilled over to Kenya and now in COVID.

For example during this Christmas period - as South African run to their villages to eat goat meat - and drink local brew - many kenya hotels have crazy offers - and Kenya go to tourist resorts - and enjoy services. Nairobi will soon descend to Kenya coast.

So even with COVID curtailing international tourism- Kenya tourism sector is breezing through.

Highest cost of living with lowest quality of life is in hell holes like Ghana, Sudan, Niger, Zimbwabwe. These are countries struggling with hyperinflation. Ghana is good example of a country that cannot seem to fix it's historical inflation issue..10yrs the Cedis has done 600 percent deflation against USD.

There is big difference btw someone earning high wages in Europe buying high quality stuff for top prize - and Ghanian buying cane rate expensively. If you go to Europe 10yrs from now or 20yrs back..the prizes of goods remain almost unchanged. Their currency are stable and they have almost zero inflation.

There's no difference between a Ghanaian earning high wage and buying the same high quality stuff at top prizes that Europeans buy and getting a significantly close standard of living to an European while paying the price for that standard of living in cost of living.

There's nothing inflationary about that, it's just transitory.

The rest of your rants are nonsense, there is nowhere in the functional world were prices of things remain the same except in nonfunctional countries that depend on aid and handouts ..

In those place, the economy does not function properly. Countries like Liberia, sierra Leone, Kenya and co comes to mind. These are aid and handouts dependent nations with a nonfunctional economy where demand and supply doesn't work but govt dictating price setting.

This is the very reason why COVID has affected Kenya so badly, your economy couldn't even adjust. This happens when govt controls the economy instead of individuals and the economic principle of demand and supply.

The US, UK and Hong Kong are high income nations. It's stupid to compare with tiny gold producing Ghana. It's also just as stupid as to think anyone is visiting Ghana, I mean do you even have hotels or resorts for the tourists?

Tanzania - no need to google. They overtook kenya for few years during terror - but generally are behind kenya. They claim to earn more in international tourism. They have almost no domestic sector.

Yes I have checked - South Africa has very good domestic tourism - 70 percent of the sector. That is impressive.

We have more than enough hotels, resorts and short stay apartments..

From July to December, everything gets fully booked...

This is why Ghana makes almost 2 times in revenue than your country..

Atleast we all know that Ghana is a middle-income nation higher than your country so it wont even make sense to put kenya on our level. Solve that before you talk about tourism.

Go rant somewhere else, Kenya has a poor standard of living that is on par with South Sudan, Liberia and co

Tourist spend more money in Ghana than they will ever spend in Kenya
