The Bishop of Grantham, Nicholas Chamberlain, has turned into the first ever diocesan in the Church of England to state openly that he is in a gay relationship. Religious administrators are allowed to be in same-sex relations on the condition that they are chaste and they don't wed, and Chamberlain's sexuality had not been kept a mystery from the Church.
