Unilag aint that crappy, a lot of people beg to pay 250,000 for an ordinary diploma which only qualifies you to proceed to year two in that same Unilag( no certificates and you must ake a certain GPA to qualify for the move to year two) |

Expensive my foot.The school MBA programme aint worth all the hype.Some of their lectures aint good enough and all they care about is money,money and money. I'll advise, if you want value for your money,save and enroll in a better school.THe hype about the programme is just not worth it. |

i have confirmed it the MPA programme for part time costs 75,000 naira and u pay it once for the entire duration of ur program but u 'd have to pay a returning fee of 7,500 for the subsequent session.Acceptance fee is 32,500 .It means ur cost would look like this 75,000+ 7,500 +32,500 |

Senator you hv tried but you are wrong, seems you didnt get what the person told you. As i posted the question, i ran into someone whos currently running the programme. she said that, the first sesseion you pay N75,000 which is tuition fee, 32,000 acceptance fee and other small small payments, like I.D cards and so on, that she paid close to N120,000 in her first sesssion. That they are about resuming for the second session, and they are asked to pay only N75,000 tuition fee. consequently, to do the programme you should have your N200,000. |

I am compelled to respond to this thread. I attended U.I for my 1st degree and spent 5 yrs earning a 2:2 that did not make me fair better than other graduates that went to schools rated lower than U.I. Worse still, I have a friend that went to UNAD for his 1st degree and MBA (those who know the school are aware of how he may have got the degrees) he works for a FMCG org. and earns one of the best salaries around. A friend of mine also has an MBA marketing from OOU, he now works for NOKIA in Nigeria, he sometimes nets 400000 monthly (salary+commission). Most of my friends in good banks and companies like guinness, Celtel, Glo et cetera, have FUTA MBA and are doing very well. Whence, I resolved that instead of going to UNILAG to pay through my nose (380,000), or U.I where I'm required to have 5yrs mgt experience and pay 180,000/session., or OAU where I may not graduate in 4yrs doing a masters, I will rather go to FUTA to pay 150,000for the entire programme. Believe me, I feel fulfilled because I believe i am truely earning a degree. After working for about 2 years (in Nigeria), I discovered that employers dont give 2 shits about any Nigerian university degree you have. As long as you have a good grade -2:1 and preferably a 1st class- or PG degree that you can defend. I have a friend that had to pay 30,000 naira to get a 2:1 Business Administration in UNAD . Although he paid to get it, he is naturally intelligent, so he defended it and got a very lucrative job in a leading bank. Mind you if you dont pay, you get dropped to a 2:2 (he told me that). My conclusion/advice is that as long as you want to work here in Nigeria and you aint going abroad for an MBA or a good M.Sc, then any university in Nigeria will do to obtain an MBA. |

@ Idea, LBS is not a school for a common man or just any body mind you, incase you dont know. My MD recently finished from there, and paid almost or even over a million for just the program that lasted 6months. @ Tyra, i agree that all schools are good, but you dont except me to do my program with FUTA or any of the schools you mentioned, whereas i reside in Lagos. If you calculate the transportation to and fro those locations, it will be cheaper to do it with Unilag, which is far better than the competitor - LASU. |

@Tzar like u, im compelled to respond to your comment not based on the MBA issue but what u wrote about UNAD. I graduated from that school and as such any day any time i'll defend it's integrity. What u wrote may or may not have happened but by my experience i want to believe such things don't happen in UNAD alone even ur prestigious UI isnt innocent. Ur comment made it seem like graduates of UNAD are decadent and dumb may be your friend was and may be u r since u guys are friends. "show me ur friends and i'll tell u who exactly u r". Quit complaining about ur 2:2. I graduated with a 2:1 which i worked ver hard for and in the same UNAD and i have a great job to show for it.
