I am surprised these ones are given credit to GEJ under this APC propaganda government,is like this body is yet to be infected with politics otherwise the heading would have been GEJ INCONCLUSIVE GIS PROGRAMME HAVE EMPOWERED 41,000 BENEFICIARIES UNDER BUHARI'S JOB CREATION SCHEME. 11 Likes |

They brought down a man with vision with lies and they never appreciated everything he did, even when they are still doing the same thing and even worse when they got there..... Nigerians bought cheap lies and voted devil into power. Their own NPOWER they were talking about for months now, they don't know where they are going, because they have no voice. A government built on lies. No choice, we gonna enjoy this four years and use the PVC in 2019. 12 Likes 1 Share |

eazysally:You should have noticed that President Buhari retained good programs and projects of the last administration. If successive administrations had continued along the line, the issue of abandoned project wouldn't arise. Even in states under the same political party, successive governors feel reluctant to continue with the programs of their predecessors. 3 Likes 1 Share |

At least the government is sincere. Politics is over and the interest of the people is paramount. The FG could decide to keep mum on whatever achievement there was and heavens won't fall. Kudos to a government of continuity. 1 Like |
LOKOJA—The Federal Government, yesterday, said the Graduate Internship Scheme, GIS, initiated by the administration of former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, was retained by the present government because it had been able to reduce graduate unemployment across the country. Besides, the government said more than 41,000 graduates had benefited from the programme, with over 35,000 already exited and have secured jobs. GIS Project Director, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Dennis Chukwu, said this in Lokoja, Kogi State, at the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Skills Training for beneficiaries of the scheme. Chukwu said many of the graduates had also secured credit facilities and grants to expand businesses they established with the GIS stipends, giving the breakdown of the beneficiaries to include 68 percent male, 31 percent female, while the vulnerable had one percent. Chukwu, who was represented by Mrs Memunat Usman, said the programme had been able to give hope to many young school leavers that would have been roaming the streets. Chukwu said: “As a government, we can boldly say that the purpose of setting up the Graduate Internship Scheme, GIS, which is for unemployed graduates to acquire employable skills is being achieved. “However, as long as thousands of graduates still remain unemployed, we will continue to improve the capacity of the scheme to absorb more applicants.” According to him, the career development and entrepreneurship skills training are designed to help the beneficiaries answer the question of ‘what next’ and begin plans for the future. He noted that the skills and experience the beneficiaries acquired through the GIS had placed them in a better position to contribute meaningfully to national development. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/09/41000-benefitted-jonathans-gis-programme-fg/ [/quote Even at that the programme is still full of corrupt officials that need to come out and give account of their stewardship. How do you explain the situation where exam were conducted for some prospective candidate in Lagos about 2yrs ago, they passed the ability test and documentation was done. They were given ID card, Account was opened for them by UBA and was promised get attached and get their pay. Till date no feedback from them " I smell something fishy " 1 Like |

Buhari and his cloud of incompetent slaves should openly apologize to Nigerians for Deceiving them, and blackmailing GEJ. Firstly, fuel subsidy removal was a scam. But on resumption of office you saw reasons for which GEJ wanted it removed. You went ahead and totally removed it. Secondly, GEJ's railway project was a political propaganda according to you/Apc . Yet few months ago, you and your "innocent" minister of transport commissioned the railway, amassed praises for ur self without even mentioning GEJ. Thirdly, GEJ's Agricultural policy which u abandoned. To you, it was a corrupt policy, even though, it was ur people who benefited from it. I read that, it has recently been adopted by ur brainless government... NOW IT IS THE GIS... can't you initiate urs? One would have expected that, after monitoring Nigeria's economic situation for the period of twelve years, that you have been failing elections, you should solutions to our problems. Instead, investors are leaving the country, youth unemployment is on the increase, there's massive retrenchment and salary Slash, insecurity here and there. People are are resorting to jungle justice, cos of frustration and lost of faith in your judiciary. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
