Ear aches can be a serious course of concern. When it suddenly pinches at night, it can be worse, finding medical help could be difficult after night's light out. Children and adults, even the elderly can be susceptible to ear aches. It could occur as a result of plugged Eustachian tubes (which lead from the back of the throat to the middle ear), this is often the remote cause of ear aches.

The muscles in the Eustachian tubes play vital roles to the ears, as they contract, it enables the tube to open up and allow air flow into the middle ear, when the tubes don't drain naturally the air in the middle air is absorbed creating a vacuum in the tube and sucking the ear drum inwardly this can leave you with pains as the ear aches.

The situation is usually aggravated by a cold, sinus infection or an allergy.

Ear aches can arise from other factors too, infections can trigger an ache. Deep-sea diving and atmospheric pressure from air travel can cause your ears to ache.
