Since the announcement of the Galaxy Note 7, there have been several reported cases of battery concerns which Samsung has also confirm in a statement released by the company as regards the battery cell of the Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung has recently called for the recall of 2.5 million units of Galaxy Note 7 units shipped globally which has been estimated to cost the Korean company whopping sum of $1 billion.

Now the company is also in the news for another wrong reason as Oculus, a Samsung partner has stated that it won’t recommend the use of the new Galaxy Note 7 with the new Gear VR meant for the meant for the Note 7 until the device is replaced by Samsung.

Oculus sent out the warning through its website which states that “Samsung has issued a product exchange program for all Note7 devices due to battery issues. Don’t use your Note7 with Gear VR until you get your replacement.”

While Oculus did not further reveal more reasons, it is wise that users take heed as Oculus has been partners with Samsung in the production of its Gear VR headset and with Samsung confirming that the Galaxy Note 7 has battery cell issues which could lead to explosion, you don’t want to risk using the device with the Gear VR on your face.
