Oshiomhole panics at impending defeat at the polls, writes INEC and FGN pleading for postponement of election from September 10


The outgoing governor of Edo State, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, has yesterday, Monday 5th of September 2016, written a personally signed letter of appeal to INEC, Presidency and security agencies.


In the letter which was delivered by hand to the Presidency and to INEC headquarters in Abuja, the governor pleaded with the presidency and the INEC to shift the polls because it clashed with the date of the General Certificate of Education (GCE).

The PDP has said that on no account must the election be postponed.

“This election must not be postponed for any reason whatsoever. We will resist any attempt to disrupt the fragile peace and security in the state. We are in a hurry to evacuate the APC” Hon Tony Osazuwa of the PDP said.

It appears that the feedbacks Oshio has been receiving from the field are too gloomy in view of how much they have spent on campaign. This is true. Obaseki is not convincing enough. Apc foot soldiers in Edo are very disappointed and dispirited right now. Oshio must let go if apc loses. The mistake would remain his forever.
