Residents of George town, in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa were treated to a rather weird spectacle early this morning, when an Ex convict and former drug dealer turned pastor, Aphiwe Nqezu was seen preaching the gospel , sitting right inside a COFFIN.
Aphiwe is a former drug dealer and convict who became a Christian in 2009.Some of his congregation members from The Potter's House Christian Church who spoke to news reporters said,

“We brought the coffin to illustrate to people who fail to embrace Jesus as the son of God that they will go to hell and face eternal death. Everybody is going to die someday, so let’s find JESUS and embrace him as our personal lord and saviour before it is too late.”

However, some of the onlookers at the scene of the drama did not find the idea of using a coffin to preach funny, some of them especially women ran away in fear, according to Siphiwe Nyanda, a cab driver, he said,

" It is very disrespectful, Coffins are linked to funerals , a sacred thing in our African culture,”


Pastor Aphiwe further added,

“People should understand that whether they are rich or poor or black or white, rich or poor, irrespective of your social status and class, the same fate awaits them which is DEATH.”
