There are many embassies and high commisions in Lagos and Abuja but the prominent ones are the westernones for the reason that is obvious.

We have heared stories, reports from Visa Applicants who have experienced the other side of Visa Officers.

Can you please share your views either by what you heared or by your personal experience with these foreign post.

Here is one of the prominent the ones that i know:

1) A young lad got US visa few years ago. At that time there is no direct flight between Nigeria and Yankee. He bought a British Airways ticket to New York enroute London. By this arrangement he applied for UK visa.
This guy had already threw a big party in Ibadan, Ladies are fallen over themselves.
The unfortunate thing happen in UK Embassy. While checking his form, UK Entry clearance officer ask for his application form from American Embassy.
UNTIL THEN, I NEVER KNEW ALL THESE EMBASSIES WORK TOGETHER.

Discrepancies was detected, Uk denied him the transit visa and US embassy withdraw the already granted visa.

Can you share yours as well?

Never knew the embassies work together? No wonder the US embassy always ask which countries you've been to. I know 3 folks who spent only a min wit d consular officers and got their visas. They just have good travel record- Been to 8-10 EU countries.
