Instagram Now Let You Block/hide Offensive Or Inappropriate Comments by Reediano(m): 7:33pm On Sep 12, 2016
In a bid to make Instagram a save, positive and welcoming community that it was created to be, Instagram has just launched a new filter tool which now gives Instagram users a little bit more control over their account especially the comment section.

Once an Instagram user enable this feature, it will automatically filter your comments and hide any one that consist of the default blacklisted words. You can even go ahead and customize it by adding or removing your own set of words.

Although this feature was initially released to business and some celebrity users July this year so as for Instagram to get quick feedbacks, Now Instagram has finally made it Available to all of its users.

According to the statement released by the CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom on Instagram’s blog:
The first feature we’re introducing is a keyword moderation tool that anyone can use. Now, when you tap the gear icon on your profile, you’ll find a new Comments tool. This feature lets you list words you consider offensive or inappropriate. Comments with these words will be hidden from your posts. You can choose your own list of words or use default words we’ve provided. This is in addition to the tools we’ve already developed such as swiping to delete comments, reporting inappropriate comments and blocking accounts.
Although this will not completely eradicate strolling and abusive comments as most people will still find their way around it but I really believe its a great step in the right direction.

Also don't forget that you can permanently ban anyone from viewing your account.

This new feature is now available on the latest version of Instagram for Android and iOS users. Just update your current app from your respective app stores.
