Following the plan by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to rally across the major terrotories of south east to mark the 17th anniversary of the birth of MASSOB, the Delta State police command has deployed over 4,000 policemen to forestall the rally.

The rally was scheduled to hold today, September 13, across major streets of the south south and south east zone, by MASSOB.

According to The Sun, the State Police Command has mobilized and at the same time, started the deployment of policemen and ammunition to some strategic places to counter move by any group across the state.

Thegistbaze correspondent also gathered that Anambra State is not left out, as men in police uniform have been mounted in some part of the state like Nkpor, Nnewi, Ekwulobia and so on.

Speaking on the deployment, a source revealed that the mobilization is to ensure that breakdown of law and order are averted as was the case in previous protests.
