Barcelona's Daniel Alves Out For Three Weeks - Report

Barcelona will have to do without the services of Daniel Alves for three weeks, after he aggravated his injury in the warm-up before the match against Getafe.

According to Marca, Alves was due to start the game, but suffered further pain during the pre-match warm up. He has been suffering from a fibrilar break in the right leg.

Alves will miss league games against Atletico Madrid and Racing Santander, as well as the Champions League clash against Stuttgart.

Dmytro Chygrynskiy Out For One Week

For Barcelona's weekend match against Atletico de Madrid, coach Pep Guardiola is without Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Rafael Marquez, Eric Abidal and now Dmytro Chygrynskiy has been added to the list of absentees. The Ukrainian defender has been ruled out for one week because of a muscle injury in his left leg, as reported by Sport.

Furthermore, Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure, who can also perform as a central defender, is out for two weeks.

As such, coach Pep Guardiola is left with just Carles Puyol, who continues to suffer from a niggling injury, Gabi Milito and Maxwell as defenders for Sunday's match at the Vicente Calderon.

Pep will, at the very least, recover Pique and Marquez for the midweek Champions League match next week, but for Sunday's match, the Barca coach will now have to call upon members of the reserve squad to field a full four-man back line.
