This is not about hatred for Fayose. This is about objectivity and "prioritization". Can you tell us why a dualized road which experiences less that 1000 vehicular flow per hour and traffic of less than 5-minutes (caused by traffic light) be replaced with a flyover?

Especially when the state is owing 6 month salary to his workers, when health care services is moribund, when universities and other vital agencies has not receive their subventions.....

It is just like replacing the road in front of MKO Garden/Japaul House with a flyover even though traffic on this Ekiti road is less than 10% of what we experience.

Fayose is just wasting Ekiti money on useless project to appease his political godfathers and enrich himself.

I must also commend Fayose in the area of road construction. Kudos to him but on this flyover thing, he lost it totally. Wrong timing!!!!

And Fayemi did well by planting flower with billions of Ekiti money? Fayemi was right by spending 2billions for building government house? You guys are so pathetic and I must tell you that your hatred for this man is way beyond human comprehension.

As far as Ekiti State is concern, no one has done what he, fayose has done in terms of infrastructural development

EKSG Compensates The Affected People on Dualization of Ise Township Road

Ekiti State Government has distributed over 2.2 million naira compensation to the 27 people that would be affectded in the dualization of Ise Ekiti township road.

The governor was welcomed by the people of Ise Ekiti in their large numbers. Performing the ceremony at Ise Ekiti, Governor Fayose said that despite pucity of funds, he would continue to have impact in all the communities in the state.

He added that the project was another promise kept, the governor also promise to work on some failed portions of the road leading to Ise town to be able to give the dualized road a good look.

Some beneficiaries Mr Bayode Afolabi and Gabriel Owoseni whose shops and houses were affected thanked the governor for the compensation.

In his response, Kabiyesi, Arinjale of Ise Ekiti appreciates the effort of the Governor for bringing road dualization to Ado Ekiti in his first term in office and for extending the good gesture to five different Local Government Headquaters in the state in his second term in office which Ise Ekiti happens to be a beneficiary.

He eulogised the role played by Governor Fayose in his first term as goveror in making Arinjale the Chairman traditional ruler of Oba’s in Ekiti State.

The governor thereafter in his usual habit demonstrated the stomach Infrastructure concept by distributing food stuffs to the people in the town.

Also at Emure Ekiti where the governor inspected the dualization work currently going on in the town and ask for the support of the people towards his administration.

He however promise to do everything possible despite the paucity of funds in making the town a better place than it is right now

Some house owners in Okesa area of Ado Ekiti were in tears Thursday evening as government bulldozers commenced demolition of more structures in the area to accommodate an outer road for the ongoing flyover project.
The demolition exercise which was personally supervised by Governor Ayo Fayose started at about 4.30 pm and continued till dusk reducing the buildings to rubbles.
The governor who sported a white T-shirt had his convoy parked by the roadside while the demolition was going on.
The exercise started at Fajuyi area where structures including the fence and security post of the State High Court complex, Cathedral Church of Emmanuel (Anglican Communion) were marked for demolition.
Those who wept said it was inconceivable to see their ‘ancient’ buildings reduced to rubbles within minutes
The affected buildings including many shops in the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) Shopping Complex had earlier been marked for demolition weeks before the exercise commenced.
The two bulldozers kept roaring and busy with demolition until rains started at about 5.40 pm which temporarily halted the exercise. The exercise continued after the rain ceased till it became too dark to continue.
Many of the landlords and house owners had started removing their roofing sheets and other over the weekend till Wednesday afternoon after entreaties to convince the government to halt the demolition failed.
Some of the residents staged a peaceful protest Thursday last week claiming that they had no alternative place to go and that government reneged on the initial agreement of 15 meter setback and came out with a new benchmark of 30 meters to the main road.
The protesters said “the demolition will render many old people living and trading in the buildings homeless and turn them to refugees in their home land.”
Some of the affected landlords were grumbling that it was unfair that they were not paid compensation by the government. Others who had extended structures to their original buildings were among those who were not compensated.
One of the landlords whose demolished building had six shops complained that the compensation if N500, 000 given him was too small.
It was also learnt that some of the demolished shops had been leased for many years to Igbo traders who had been displaced by the demolition.
The demolition was supposed to have commenced on September 12 but it was halted because it fell on the Eid el Kabir day.
The exercise which will extend to Ojumose area of the city is expected to continue Friday.

Above is an accurate version of what exactly happened in Ado Ekiti yesterday. It was a demolition exercise that was marred by tears and gnashing of teeth. Most of the affected landlords were not compensated and the few that got the compensation received a paltry sum that is not enough to build a shop, let alone a decent accommodation.

I just de wonder.even in my village 2.2 mil isn't enough compensation for demolishing 27 buildings talk more of a state capital.
