We read about the discovery of oil in lagos, next they were set to receive the 13% increase in allocation. Not long after we read about how the funding for projects were shared among regions, lagos said they were putting a hold to exploration in the region.

According to them, they were making plans to ensure that what happened in the Niger delta does not happen in lagos. They gave examples of host community neglect and environmental pollution .

But I am more worried that the main example they are working against is the using of the resources of the Niger delta region to develop other parts.

I can hear the clamour for restructuring now. So are they waiting for the restructuring to explore, to ensure that their oil money is not used to develop other regions like Niger delta?
