Case Studies

1. Gowon versus Ojukwu

A coup led by mischievous and misguided Igbo army officers was termed an "Igbo coup".
The result was the massive killing of Eastern Region army officers and civilians across Nigeria.
The killings were carried by both the government and private citizens.

South Easterners ran home and mandated Ojukwu to decare independence from Nigeria.

Then, Gowon led the rest of Nigeria (of coursed backed by the British (I think brutish is better) slaved traders attacked the Eastern Region.

Men,women, boys, girls, young and old were killed with impunity.
Churches, markets, hospitals, etc were raided with bombs by Gowon.

Who took the blame? OJUKWU
The killings were done by GOWON, but Ojukwu was blamed.

2. GEJ versus Shekau

Boko Haram's formation began during OBJ (after overzealous Northern governors invited the Saudis to com and inaugurate Sharia).
By the time Yaradua came in, BH already had a large follower-ship.
Their leader was kiled by Yaraduas regime.

They went on rampage.

By the time, Jonathan became President, Shekau who by them got the backing of mischief makers in the North, was bombing churches, markets, mosques, barracks, etc at will.
Efforts Jonathan was making the curbs the activities of Boko Haram, was resisted by Northern Leaders. In the lead and very vocal was the current tyrant in power. He said,
“Fight against Boko Haram is fight against the North”.
Jonathan was blamed both sides:
1. He was blamed for the killings of civilians by Shekau
2. He was blamed for the deaths of Boko Haram army by the Nigerian military.
At a stage, both he and Ihejirika (who wrestled Boko Haram to the ground) were accused of genocide against the North.
In summary, Shakau and his gang of Arabia wannabes where killing, but Jonathan took the blames.

3. Buhari versus Nnamdi Kanu.
Buhari ordered for unarmed protesters to be gunned down in the South East.
Some of them were aimed and shot at with life bullets where they were singing and dancing. The only crime was, they mentioned Biafra as the reason of their gathering.
Buhari and his gang of animals called soldiers were doing the killings, but you know what?
Nnamdi Kanu was blamed for the deaths.
Reason? Nnamdi Kanu has enough nerves to question the necessity so called "one" Nigeria.

4. Buhari versus Niger Delta Militants.
Militant activities in the Niger Delta is focus more on oil installations.
Deliberate killing of civilians is not that pronounced.
Buhari has sent soldiers to the Niger Delta: They are killing both the innocent and the guilty.
Who takes the blame?
It is not Buhari. Niger Deltans are blamed. There is a very loud but muted blame for Jonathan.

5. Other examples:
Boko Haram which has been “defeated technically” (whatever that means) is till killing people in their homes and churches..
Buhari is not blamed.

Agatu is still today occupied by Jihardists in the name of herdsmen.
Buhari is not blamed.

Just imagined Jonathan or another Eastern Regioner is in power, by now we would have seen something worse than BBOG.
Oil workers were kidnapped in Rivers State, Buhari is not blamed.
Assuming someone like Pat Utomi is ruling Nigeria, front page of newspapers would be dedicated to a BBOOW (Bring Back Our Oil Workers) campaign.

6. Conclusion:
Conclusion is a test.

1. From the cases 1 to 5, deduce a Nigerian Blaming Formula.
2. If a militant arises from the North killing and maiming people and the President is from the South, who takes the blame?
3. If the Nigerian army are killing civilians in the South and the President is from the North, who takes the blame?
