How to choose an Event Planner

I noticed this has been an issue, with many customers, as some of our clients had also complained about this issue in the past, so I decided we speak on it.
1) First and foremost, please, please and please, Do your research. Interview as many planners as you can, ask them how do they charge? Do they charge hourly or do they have a flat fee? It is important to know this things before you start any planning.

2) A good wedding planner is very diplomatic, observe your potential planner and see how she handles issues like family, religion, friends.

3) Another way to identify a good event planner will be to review their crisis management skills, look into your event planner’s previous events and see how they managed crisis in the past, look into the creative thoughts they have developed to effectively handle event crisis

4) Integrity is also very important, well mostly because you will have to trust them with your finances, so while on your research, ask people how they have managed their finances, did they come up with hidden charges later and how credible are they in giving accounts of how the money was spent?

5) How professional are your clients, how good or bad are they at keeping appointments? How are their communication skills? The moment you notice this skills might have not been polished into your planners character, it should count as a offset sign. This could also help- you understand how the event will plan out with this client.

6) Look into the quality of the events your planner has done, while someone might have done only 5 events and have done it very well, others might have done a 100 events and have done absolutely rubbish. It is important to understand the quality of events they produce.

7) Having said all this, the last and the greatest measure is to follow your gut feeling.
If you feel that you and the planner has a certain type of connection and she understands your vision and the way your event should be planned, it is always a good idea to go with that planner, there is a feeling of accomplishment when you pick your own planner, and become solely responsible for your event.
