General Overseer of Mount Zion Faith Global Ministries Inc, (By Fire By Fire) , Nnewi, Anambra State, Bishop Abraham Chris Udeh has called on President Muhamma du Buhari to immediately restructur e the country into six regions. He said failure to do so would be an invitation to disintegrati on. Bishop Udeh said this in reaction to the current economic recession and agitation for self- determinat ion sweeping across the South- south and South-east regions. He said the economy of the nation would be more manageabl e if the country was structured into six regions with each of the confederal regions managing its economy based on resources available to it and contribute to the central governmen t. Bishop Udeh insisted that the on-going economic crisis, militancy in the Niger Delta and the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for self- determinat ion would not abate until the country was restructur ed. “The people of Niger Delta cry of marginalisa tion and say they want to be on their own. The Indigenous People of Biafra say they want self- determinat ion, you have Boko Haram fighting in the North- East and the Fulani herdsmen on rampage. These are enough indications that Nigeria is due for restructuri ng, or it will naturally break up. President Buhari should listen to the voice of wisdom and start the process of restructuring before it is too late. The moment the country is restructur ed, that will be the end of any form of agitation or militancy, and anybody who leads Nigeria as a president then will have little or no headache,” the Bishop submitted. He said the problem in the Niger Delta region could not be solved by deploying more soldiers to fight the militants or harass members of the communiti es. He noted that it would even make the militants be more aggressive to blow up more oil pipelines which would further cripple the economy already in recession. but does the president have power to just restructure the country?
what then is the job of national assembly
what then is the job of state house of assembly

so a state like bayelsa state that is so small in population and earn twice the amount that lagos earn and cannot pay salaries will now be going to rivers state to collect allocation?

so Anambara or Enugu state will now be regional head for potentially richest state in Nigeria ABA ?

so after all the hard work el rufai is putting into kaduna, one lazy governor from katsina will come and collect allocation from kaduna....

oh Ibadan will now be district head for people in lagos?

you political jobbers should shut up elections have been won and lost live with it

First Aba is not a state it is Abia. Restructuring is d fastest means of achieving the much sought after diversification. Nobody will be going to anywhere to collect allocation. All areas or regions will have to produce because they must fund d centre on agreed percentages.

Restructuring is not new and has nothing to do with elections won and lost. Reducing it to that level is pure mischief and ignorance rolled into one. Terrible combo...

Pastor.. Please the only restructuring we need now is religious bodies to pay 65% tax at least that will give us over 6 trillion per year and we won't need to borrow... Atleast FG will have 3 trillion for capital projects

The question I ask about this... is this. . Is there any law. Holding any state back??... Who said bayelsa or even Kano should not own an oil company and a construction company?? What stops Akwa-Ibom from building a fertilizers plant instead of the useless stadium. .. what is stopping Abia from owing the world largest shoe and garment company.. . Bro restructuring or not the results will still be d same. .. Once they get enough money to pay salaries they will be OK and tax can comfortably do that... So nothing will change
