I understand Mr. Fashola is visiting Oworonshoki today to commission the Gbagada General Hospital Annex.

There was an incident that happened yesterday in the neighbourhood.

The main road that leads to the Hospital Annex has been left abandoned for a very long time now
(a normal thing in these parts).

The Kosofe LGA chairman hurridly mobilised work men to fix the road to give his boss a good impression.
Alas, the residents staged a lock down and refused to allow the work men do the job so Fashola could see the real thing.

It was on till late in the evening.
The chairman send police men to disperse the crowd. They met a brick wall.
A particularly pained woman stood her ground. She asked them to kill her first before they will be allowed to do any work.

You will be amazed that the chairman went to report to the oba (who also became oba in a questionable circumstance), who
came there to appeal to the crowd to let the job be done.

Now tell me how we can move forward with this kind of interference from the so called oba?

Now the emergency job has been done.

News also has it that the chairman just finished about 2 roads in another part of Oworonshoki where he just bought a house.

Nigerians must rise up to fight this sort of injustices.

One of our greatest problems in Nigeria is that our so-call leaders serve their bosses instead of the masses. None-the-less, with the action of the locals, it is a serious food for thought for our "eye service" leaders.
