Ah Ah! Chai! I don't know why dis keeps happening to me ooo. Oyinbos in America keep telling me I am African American when I am 100% African. I do not identify with akatas. Does dis happen to any other African/Nigerian? |

What do you mean you don't identify with Akatas?....don't you look like them? If you're Black and don't say a word... you are African American.... if you speak and they hear a foreign accent... African/Caribbean/Spanish /French....accent....you would now be called a foreigner....but... if you open your mouth and speak Spanish. .. you now become a Latino...lumped together with Mexicans and South Americans. If you detest being called Akata... then you either return to the Fatherland... or somehow change your ethnicity. 2 Likes |
