A German regulator ordered Facebook to prevent collection knowledge from German WhatsApp users and delete all the info it's received and hold on through the electronic communication application.

The Hamburg Commissioner for knowledge Protection and Freedom of information aforementioned the social media large Facebook is breaching Germany’s data protection law.

According to commissioner Johannes Casper,

“After the acquisition of WhatsApp by Facebook 2 years agone, each parties have in public assured that knowledge won't be shared between them.”
There square measure over thirty five million WhatsApp users in GERMANY and Facebook didn't take permission from its users whether or not they have objection on sharing their knowledge or not.

“This body order protects the info of regarding thirty five million WhatsApp users in GERMANY. it's to be their call, whether or not they need to attach their account with Facebook. Therefore, Facebook should enkindle their permission beforehand. This has not happened, adscititious Casper.”

But in August 2016 things modified once WhatsApp modified its rules and proclaimed that the corporate are going to be sharing users’ phone numbers with Facebook to fight spam and provide “better friend suggestions [and] a lot of relevant ads.”

Facebook isn't new such privacy and knowledge sharing connected problems in Europe. In fact, in 2015 a Belgian court ordered Facebook to prevent chase net users or pay a 250,000 euros per day. Before the writ, Belgium’s Privacy Commission (BPC) aforementioned that Facebook is following National Security Agency footsteps to spy on users.
