“What I mean is... I have not seen in Nigeria, any female who is employed as a driver of a family, an individual, an institution or even in government institutions. Please share your experience if you've seen one. It will be interesting to know.”

The above quote was a question culled from nairalander. This was a desperate question that needed practical answers. The person asking this question was curiously salivating in anticipation for a strange but true answers meant to be pragmatic, but the responses and feedback were few.

The truth is that this is an untapped source of labour in Nigeria, as the driving profession is characterized and dominated by the masculine gender. There is a saying that what a man can do a woman can do even better, but can this be true for the female gender when it comes to driving.

Could it be that the female gender because they are always believed to be seen as the weaker vessel, this nature of job might be too much for them, but on the other hand the female character takes anything job or work more serious than the male gender. Starting from the schools, apprenticeship, learning instructions, work environments in our today world, etc. they have found a way of leading the masculine gender in output performances.

There is a study that was undertaken and findings from that study revealed that women are naturally administrative and management oriented. This will better qualify the female to driving their employers if we can rightly say or put things in their way, may be this might make sense but a lot of things would be changing.

The real question here is not maybe a female can be a professional driver? But the real one is if a female can effectively manage the demands of womanhood with driving professionally? This is what DRIVERSNG chooses to do as we want to break a jinx and turn the market upside-up which will mean that the nature of our labour force might soon be changing as DRIVERSNG would love to fish out those females among us that have always being nursing that special desire to become professional drivers to an employer or a BOSS.

DRIVERSNG(www.driversng.com) is changing the game. WOW!
