The Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo has been projected winner of the 2016 gubernatorial election in Edo from the results of the 1,909 polling units already collated. The PDP candidate, Ize Iyamu according to Hope For Nigeria, has secured 25% in 15 LGAs in the state with a vote margin of 17,400 over his opponent, Mr Obaseki. The low turnout in Edo North and PDP extending their lead in some wards in this senatorial zone was the undoing of the APC.
