Nigeria at 56: How did we get here?
In a matter of hours, there would be March passes. National sounds will take over the airwaves. Anthems would be blaring... Pledges would be recited... Speeches would be read... Promises would be renewed...
Would hope be renewed??
That is perhaps a question that suffices with individual answers.. maybe the answer is far fetched.
There have been varying opinions and counter opinions on the journey so far. Our founding fathers gave so much for Nigeria to gain independence.
As we "celebrate" this "independence", one might wonder if we really are independent in the truest sense of it.
How did we get here??
What are you celebrating??
What are we celebrating??
