A Weekend of Upsets

Swansea hosts Liverpool in a tricky affair on Saturday afternoon, to set the ball rolling. Liverpool has been spectacular against the big boys, but failed to find their form playing against minnows. That has been a major concern for Klopp, who will be desperate for a result here.

Liverpool's potent has attack has proved unstoppable, and should go all out away to the Swans. It certainly shall be no easy fixture. Swansea has played two strong opponents; Manchester City and Chelsea in back to back fixtures, picking a point from the two matches. Against Chelsea, they managed to capitalize on the Blues defensive frailties to settle for a draw.

The Kops have similar defensive problems, and should they fail to seal the loopholes at the back, then Swansea could offer a major upset on the day.

After going down in the London derby last weekend, Chelsea is desperate to get back to winning ways. Antonio Conte has admitted to growing pressure, and must win here. Hull has already been tested and has what it takes to stun Chelsea at the KC.

Antonio Conte is likely to ring the changes especially in defense. Hull knows how to soak the pressure, and could just pull one of the most stunning upsets this season.

Sunderland sits at the bottom of the league table, and is desperate for a win. Manager David Moyes is under immense pressure, and coming into this one, the former Manchester United manager understands that his job is on the line, and nothing less than a victory will ease the pressure.

West Brom has just conceded twice on the road this season, and will be a hard nut to crack. Stoke has the ability to score the goals, and coupled with the home advantage, Moyes could be rubbing his hands in delight ahead of a maiden win this term.

Slaven Bilic makes another walk to the touchline of the London stadium, hoping it won't be his last walk in there as manager this season. A West Ham side that showed so much potential last season has collapsed and crumbled, and will be looking to rebuild when they welcome Middlesbrough in the day’s final premier league tie. There is little room for error, and the Hammers must win.

Defensive errors have cost West Ham key victories, and will be keen to seal it at the back. Middlesbrough is however, no pushover and has the potential to get points here. However, it is a tight job, that could see West Ham scrap through and notch a long-awaited victory.

On Sunday, a shaky Manchester United welcomes Stoke City to Old Trafford for an extremely tricky fixture. Stoke’s granite defense comes up against a United front line that hasn't been so-convincing in the last few fixtures. Paul Pogba finally found his first goal this season, and United fans will be hopeful that the Frenchman can keep scoring. Rookie Englishman Marcus Rashford remains a revelation, and could provide the sting United need upfront.

Mark Hughes and Stoke City have the experience playing in a match of this magnitude, and will be keen to pick points from Old Trafford. Looking at United’s displays so far, there is strong reason to believe that Stoke just as United, has the potential to get maximum points here.

After a 3-3 draw away to Celtic in the Champions League, Manchester City has another strong test away at the White Hart Lane. This promises to be a cracker, with pundits pointing out that the next couple of matches starting this weekend, could prove a key test to City’s mettle.

Pep has guided his side to convincing victories this season, and should he win here, then his side shall have a comfortable lead at the top. Spurs is slowly earning its place among the big boys. Mauricio Pochettino is likely to welcome back Harry Kane, in whose absence, South Korean Son Heung-min has delivered the goods perfectly.

This should be a ruthless fixture, that is likely to give us a clear picture on how the league race might pan out.

An on-song Arsenal side makes a trip to Burnley, with Arsene Wenger looking forward to another victory. The Gunners look unstoppable, and are the right definition of style and steel. Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Ozil have been in exquisite form, and will look to make mincemeat of Burnley. Make no mistakes; Arsenal is on an excellent run, and look unstoppable.
