Hull's Ahmed Elmohamady is suspended for the visit of Chelsea as a result of his red card last weekend.

Forwards Will Keane and Dieumerci Mbokani are pushing for their first league starts, along with midfielder Markus Henriksen.

Chelsea defender John Terry remains out with an ankle injury, while midfielder Mikel John Obi is missing because of a muscle problem.

Long-term absentee Kurt Zouma is three weeks away from a return.

19: Good play from Hull as Snodgrass fends off Matic in midfield and sprays a perfectly-weighted cross out to Robertson on the left wing. Hazard chips in with the defensive duties to turn the ball out of play but Hull are giving as good as they get here.

16: CLOSE! Chelsea look to have settled into the game and go close to the Hull goal as Willian drills a low cross-come shot fizzing through the six-yard box. Costa can't get a toe on the end of it though as the ball goes out for goal kick.

14: Willian just beats Snodgrass to the loose ball in midfield and draws a foul of the Scot. Chelsea take the resulting free-kick short, working it out to Moses on the right. He tries to bundle his way into the Hull area but is crowded out as the ball trickles out of play.

11: Chelsea venture into the Hull half for the first time and win a free-kick as three players bring Hazard to ground. Luiz takes the resulting free-kick but it's poor and strikes the bottom of the wall.

21: CHANCE! Great play from Costa as he single-handedly opens up the Hull defence. The Spaniard plucks an ambitious long-ball down, turns the Hull centre-backs inside out and lays the ball off to Willian, but the Brazilian can't take it in his stride as the chance evaporates.


20: CHANCE! Hull so close to breaking the deadlock as Diomande and Mbokani attack Snodgrass' cross from the right. The ball then drops to Mason in the area and he sees his toe-poke deflect out for a corner.

33: Robertson drives at Moses and gets the better of the Chelsea winger, drawing a foul which hands Hull a free-kick in a nice position on the left. Snodgrass to take...


29: Chelsea are just starting to up the tempo at the KCOM as Costa, Willian and Hazard link up in the final third. Panic looks to have set into the Hull defence as Robertson needlessly heads the ball out for a corner, but Chelsea are unable to make the most of the set piece opportunity.


27: On second glance, Chelsea have the right to feel aggrieved as replays show there is clear contact on Moses. The Chelsea winger's fall is theatrical and it appears to have cost them.


25: NO PENALTY! Moses bundles his way into the Hull area and goes to ground under Diomande's challenge after appearing to overrun the ball. The referee is unmoved though.

35: YELLOW! Moses picks up the first booking of the game for his second foul in as many minutes.


34: It's an excellent delivery from Snodgrass which forces Costa to turn the ball out for a corner. Unfortunately for the hosts their unable to maintain the pressure as Snodgrass' corner hits the first man and Courtois wins a foul while trying to claim the loose ball.

41: YELLOW! Matic picks up Chelsea's second yellow for blocking Henriksen in midfield.


40: Great play from Chelsea as Moses releases Costa down the the left. He then tries to pick out Hazard in the middle but an even better challenge from Davies prevents the Belgian from running through on goal.


39: Chelsea continue to plug away at the Hull defence but to no avail as Alonso heads Moses' cross several yards after a sustained spell of Chelsea pressure.


36: Chelsea win a free-kick in a similar position to Hull's one a few minutes ago after Willian is brought to ground. The visitors fail to make the most of the situation as the Hull wall stands firm.

42: YELLOW! It's raining cards at the KCOM as Jake Livermore goes into the book for handball.


45: Livermore brings Hazard needlessly to ground wide on the left, handing Chelsea another chance to get an effort on goal. Marshall is alert to the danger though and gathers Willian's cross.

45+1: CHANCE! Hull fall asleep as Willian slips the ball to the unmarked Hazard in the area from a corner. He cross into the six-yard box where Costa is denied a close-range header.


45+2: CLOSE! Mason looks to give Hull the half-time advantage with a 25-yard strike, but Courtois gets down low to his right to keep the effort out.

And that’s the half-time whistle! A flurry of late chances bring about the interval after what’s been an evenly-fought contest at the KCOM. Hull started brightly but Chelsea gradually grew back into the game and, on the grand scheme of things, goalless at half-time is about right given both sides’ efforts.
