Nigeria At 56 - A Call To Action. by AdekunleLawal: 8:13pm On Oct 01, 2016
It's such an interesting maze of contradictions! A truly maniacal system. On the right hand you see hope on the left hand you see total hopelessness. There's also the common aberration; lots of wealth mingling amongst abject poverty.

Truth be told the people are friendly but amongst friendliness lies a plethora of inhumane and sinister activities. Often times you would sense that the problem with Nigeria lies in the simplicity of it's people who approach critical issues with too much mental and physical levity, often spiritualizing or politicizing the obvious.

Our's have become a people that tolerates the meanest of immoral actions, hoping against hope that evil would rid itself of evil. It is worth arguing that the larger percentage of Nigerians are mentally corrupt. Often times the upright ones collude with the wicked by keeping silent when evil deeds are being perpetrated by the evil hearted. Several years ago this was not so.

So where did it all go wrong? I am not certain I can't tell for a fact what the answer is right now but it has to be uncovered and be discussed about, furthermore we have to provide actionable answers as to how this rot would be rectified and pursue that course to a meaningful end. Anything worth doing well would take lots of effort and a willing heart, we have to be willing.

The nation has lost its soul, morality has taken a back sit and depravity is being celebrated in high places. Money has become an end in itself rather than a means to an end. We have to salvage the little good that is left of this Nation and grow it to become the cynosure of all eyes.
