Why is the US more interested in going to war than brokering peace?

What are you talking about?
How do you make peace with terrorists? You should be thankful for any US drone intervention.
A single US missile costs millions of dollars of American tax payers money, and they sure as hell are not happy helping another country fight terrorism with their own tax money.

The US is just hell bent on building a military base in Sub Sahara Africa, and our illegitimate and overzealous religious washouts in the north is about to give them the excuse to plant a foothold on the continent.
This plan of building an African Command Base has eluded them for a long time. Wherever US plants their military presence, things deteriorate very fast!

Read the report again. They are building it in Niger Republic, close to the border with Nigeria.

Their excuse is that they are trying to tackle boko haram. But knowing the US, once they "invade" any country, they are always reluctant to leave.
Their motive in the long run isn't about eradicating boko haram. They have a more sinister and long range plan for building this post.

you should also ask how US will get back their "investment" because its not free, it was never free in Iraq, Libya , or elsewhere. What is in there for Uncle Sam in the end?

Nigerian government should be careful when dealing with US. See what's happening in Syria. Civilians are being killed almost everyday. The northern elders should do more to stop radical Islamic preaching

Russia has no business in Nigeria. They have military and trade bases in Syria which is why they are very adamant on restricting American actions there.

True. Oil is no longer American sole priority since the US is currently the world's largest exporter anyway and crude is now everywhere and cheap too.
Any US intervention in Nigeria would be mainly to protect American homelands.

Probably going to provide the faltering Bokoharam intelligence. They will monitor Nigeria troop movements and relay those to Bokoharam, and we will eventually find our UAV's mysteriously falling from the skies.

It amazes me that analyst have not considered the possibility that the Syrian conflict started because Israil feared Assad's Syria and wanted Syria destroyed. America probably offered Israil the carrot of regime change instead. Don't be fooled by analysts who posit that on the contrary Israel saw a stable Asad Syria in terms of strategic importance or the better of several evils in the region. Prior to the current Syria conflict, Syria had increasingly gotten belligerent over the Golan Heights and had been working on long range Missiles or maybe Russia was going to provide them with some. In retaliation,Israel had continually warned that she would send war planes to destroy those sites in Syria. If I'm not mistaken Israel did strike certain concerns in Syria after Syria descended into the current conflict and was distracted. Anyway, the conflict probably began when America simply armed the Syrian opposition as the French and Brits, with American support, armed the Libyan opposition under the pretense that they were assisting Democratic forces. The so-called Democratic Forces then morphed into extremists in Syria - either by design or evolution. Right now it is moot weather America is (belatedly and reluctantly) assisting Syria because things have spiraled out of hand. Syria, in terms of Obama's 'hands-off' approach to international affairs was only for public consumption. In truth, in this instance, America was covertly proactive.

I doubt if you can keep the US out of Nigeria.
Asking them to stay out of west Africa is like a baby trying to push a giant out of a room. Ain't gonna work.

This one reason I feel Nigeria should focus on BH threat. It's inviting terrorist sponsorin usa into our mits. They have no business with Nigeria. I'm a dual citezen but I feel USA should violate sovereignty of Nigeria. They screwed up enough places like Libya, Syria, Afghanistan (turnin farmed to heroine pushers), Iraq(1 million dead).

Nigeria can't fight a war on both fronts in recession and talking to BH is impossible but ND has a little sense. Resource control won't make then better those same currupt politicians will keep them down but at they'll know they killed themselves.
