It was a dramatic scene today as a kleptomatic guy was caught after stealing more than 20 phones.
The guy who entered the train from Ido terminal in Lagos started the drama when he first introduced himself as a cadet who was travelling to Kaduna for training.
The movie changed when he started arm-begging that he needed money for feeding as he had exhausted all the money on him. Passangers were taken away emotionelly as some were ready to assist him.
When the train got to Osogbo terminal, the guy changed his game by pretending to fall sick he was attended to by good Samaritans. To cut the lonf story short, the guy started moving round after he had 'recovered' from his sickness and started his real mission.
He was first accused by an old woman before we got to Ilorin that her phone was with him, unfortunately no one took the issue serious till the woman got down in Ilorin. The one that broke the horse-back was an Alfa phone which everyone was curious to find.
After, serious search through the coaches, this guy was later found at thr last coach of the train-29th coach. After thorough beating, more than 20 phones were recovered from him at different locations inside the train. At last he was handed over to police at the police oost in Minna. Infact, it's true that 90 days for thief and 1 day for the owner.
