Barely 48 hours after he ensured his side, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries survived the relegation scrap in the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has resigned as coach of the team.
The coach of the Olukoya Boys as they are fondly referred to by their fans resigned from his role as coach of the team today, Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Prior to his retirement, Fidelis Ilechukwu, secured top flight status for MFM FC two seasons ago after he guided the team from the Nigerian National League to the top division.
Calls put through to the team’s Director of Media, Olawale Quadry for comments were not answered. Messages sent to his lines too were not replied as at press time.
You will recall that MFM FC miraculously survived relegation into the second division after the team defeated FC Ifeanyi Ubah 1 nil at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos, on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
