 Watch Video Below: European Parliament has appeal for immediate and safe release of Nnamdi Kanu and his co-defendants Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi ahead of tomorrow 5th October 2016, the day ECOWAS Court sitting in Abuja Nigeria will commence hearing on the suit filed by Nnamdi Kanu in violation of his rights by Nigerian govt. A member of European Union Parliament Julie Ward presented the motion during the parliament section on 4th October 2016 demanding for the immediate and unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) and his co-defendant as directed by Nigerian court. She stated that, "since October 2015 Nnamdi Kanu a British citizen and leader of Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) has been unlawfully imprisoned by Nigeria's department of security service(DSS) despite the fact that all criminal charges against him were dropped and the court order has been issued for him to be released on bail". she quoted chapter 4 section 39 of Nigerian constitution that empowers everyone to hold his/her opinion and freedom of expression. She, therefore, call upon Buhari to uphold the Nigerian constitution to ensure Nnamdi Kanu immediate and safe release as well as his co-defendants Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi. She also said Nigerian govt must guarantee freedom of expression of Biafrans including rights to protest without intimidation and end violent towards them. she called on European Parliament to prevail on tyrant Buhari to respect human rights and stop the violence against Biafra restoration supporters. Why did she not read the part of the constitution which pertains to treason? The rights of Nnamdi Kanu end where the rights of innocent Nigerians start, he cannot claim freedom of expression when his expression is to threaten the lives and peaceful existence of other innocent Nigerians while calling for arms against the Nigerian state. Nigeria remains a sovereign state and not subject to foreign interference so the MP's submission remains what it is; an opinion. If the laws of federation specify what constitutes treason and Nnamdi Kanu is liable for it, then he should be punished accordingly or released if found to be innocent. 13 Likes 5 Shares |

But honestly the DSS abi SSS's penchant for disobeying court orders granting people bail is simply concerning and disconcerting. It has even been more prominent under Buhari's administration. The courts keep granting people bail but the DSS simply rearrests the same person for no discernible reason. Their brazen contempt of court orders ought to be condemned by every sane person. I'm not shocked. He also have British MP in their parlimemt supporting him and it seems to be growing each year Buhari signal handily made Nnamdi Kanu famous and a political head. It's funny to me. In his desperation to prove his the "new sheriff in town", he ended making a fool of himself and turned church rats that other leaders ignored (aka kanu and sherifft) to a big giant mountain that now commands several followers and being seen as political heads in two foreign region. (Westerners for Nnamdi and Middle Easterners and small percentage of Asians for sherifft).
