Controversial senator and common sense advocate Ben Murray Bruce released a statement on his facebook page on the importance of teachers to mark teachers day celebration on 05/06/2016 saying teachers are more important to the progress of a nation than the highly paid politicans in the country. He said and i quote "Nigerians have one of the highest paid politicains and lowest paid teachers. Flip the equation and Nigeria will develop! on this World Teachers Day i thank Nigeria's teachers and urge that salaries of politicians be reduced so that teachers salaries can be increased! Teachers are much more relevant to the progress of this country than we the politicians. A well paid teacher is a better teacher but is a well paid legistlator a bettee legistlature? Must you wait until teachers day to bring up this issue, this man is an opportunist. Your common sense advocacy has never pointed to advocating for teachers welfare package before now. Tomorrow might be fireman"s day over to you.
