The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education has announced that the government will no longer pay WAEC fees for students. He said that the government was not satisfied with the poor performance of students despite the efforts and funding of the sector by the government. He believes that if parents pay the WAEC enrolment fees for their children they will be more concerned and involved in ensuring that students give serious attention to their studies.
